Elna type 46?

    Elna type 46?

    Anyone know anything about this machine?  There is a used one on Craigslist but I can't find much info.  Thanks and Merry Christmas!

      I couldn't find any information on this model either. I have seen many Elna's and know that usually a good machine- especially the older models.
      Before buying, I would ask if it's in working order and if it's been serviced in a while. If they don't know or if it hasn't been serviced recently, I would ask if you could try it out for a few minutes. Take a few scraps, a new needle and some thread. Try out the straight and zigzag stitches and well as the reverse. You might also try to lengthen/shorten the stitches and mess with the tension a little. It should all be an easy process and should go smoothly. If it doesn't, I would skip it.
