Embroidery Thread for Machines

    I am looking at purchasing a sewing/embroidery  machine and what to get as much info as possible. I heard that BabyLock machines can only use BabyLock Emb. Thread  is this true? Are there other thread that are good as .The BabyLock Dealer is qiute far away . but I have a Joannes near by. Any Help would be appreciated.
