Blankets for earthquake victims in Haiti

I am feeling the need to donate some blankets to the earthquake victims in Haiti (especially children.)  Does anyone have an idea who (an organization) I could send them to so that they can be distributed??  I live in Ohio. ~ Thanks.

I'm in Ohio too.  A friend of mine is going to Haiti in March to work at a orphanage (it was planned before the earthquake).  I sent her an email earlier to see if her team would be interested in taking blankets.  I would be willing to collect them and pass them along to the team for anyone that is interested in making them.

Thank you for the info.  I called our local Red Cross and currently they can only accept $$ donations because they have no way to transport, store or sort (in Haiti) any other "emotional comfort" items.  They were very friendly and said to call back in a week to see if anything has changed.

What area of Ohio are you in?  I'm in Western Ohio.  It would be amazing if we could collect 50 blankets!
