I live in northern Western Massachusetts.  There are a great artist community here but I have yet to find many of sewists/crafters.  Is there anybody out there?

Not sure how close you are to the RI border, but we should definitely talk!

I am about 2 1/2 hrs from the Rhode Island border.  Because of a busy family life, I would prefer to find folks more local to me but it would be great to keep in touch electronically!  And you may find others that reply to this thread that are close to you or willing to travel.  Thanks for the reply!

Thanks for your reply, Lynn & Cecile!  Google maps says I am about an 1 hour 45 from Palmer and 2 hours 45 from Natick.  Unfortunately, that is just too far for me. But it looks like the two of you are an hour away from one another.

I live in Florida, Ma and, this may be a unrealistic, but I am looking for someone who lives within 45 minutes or less.

Thanks for responding all!  I hope that some of you who may live closer to one another can get something started.

              peace, Sara

                Hi,

I am also a Sewer.  I live in the NJ.  I have been a member of the American Sewing Guild for many years.  There are Neighborhood Groups all over the States.

You will meet all types of creative people from sewing, embroidery, quilting, weaving and those who like to chat. Please go on the web to ASG.org and you will be able to find it all.

Hi, NJ I am also a sewer. I live in North Wales, PA. I don't know to many who do the quilting or sewing up in my area but would like to meet or chat with anyone who lives in my area. Let me know if you are near me or the Philly area and maybe we can get together and chat.

Sara,  I was on here looking for other sewers too.  If you are still interested in looking for groups I'm starting one up in Charlemont soon.

                        Hi Jenna,
I live in Greenfield and would be very interested in a sewing group if that is something that has happened or is going to happen.
                        Thanks,
                        Berry

Holy crud, Jenna, Charlemont is 20 minutes from me (and that's saying alot considering I live in the middle of nowhere!)!  Now I see that you posted this in Sept 2011 but I had a baby in Oct 2011 and am just beginning to lift my head from the fog.  :-) If you get this and are running such a group, PLEASE let me know.  I am dying to join!  Thanks.

                          peace, Sara
