I am a beginnger sewer but I would definitely be interested in joining a sewing circle in this area, if there was one!  So far, I  like to sew handbags and aprons but am hoping to expand my abilities this year by taking a sewing class which starts 2/8 - very excited!  Would also like to know of any really good fabric shops in CT.  I haven't found one yet that has wowed me.

Have you visited Banksville Fabrics in Norwalk?  They have beautiful cottons, silks, and wools.  I buy most of my fabrics from Internet sources, though (Fabric.com, Fabricdepot.com, and many others).  There are few really good fabric stores still around.
