Interested in books/resources on color matching

Interested in books/resources on color matching
    on: August 29, 2008, 08:58:21 PM
I would love to see if any of you have recommendations on books/blogs/websites/other resources about putting colors together.  I love so many fabrics and when I see projects that other people have done I can appreciate the coordination of color and pattern, but for some reason I have trouble doing it myself.  I think part of the problem is too many choices in the fabric store.  Any suggestions?  Smiley

This is an issue that I struggle with as well.  I have several books that have really helped me with color theory:
-Color Play: Easy Steps to Imaginative Color in Quilts by Joen Wolfrom
and these two by the same authors:
-Quiltmaker's Color Workshop: The FunQuilts' Guide to Understanding Color and Choosing Fabrics by Weeks Ringle, Bill Kerr
-The Modern Quilt Workshop: Patterns, Techniques, and Designs from the Funquilts Studio

The last two books are totally awesome and so inspiring.  They really go through color theory and design and give multiple examples of using different colors for different projects.  Additionally, patterns for many of the quilts are given too. The first book, by Joen Wolfrom, I received as a gift and I haven't really gotten too far into it yet.

      I hope that this helps!
