Read 16 row pleater

Does anyone know about the Read pleater and if a 16 row can be used to pleat for young childrens clothes

I have a couple of pleaters..  as far as rows go for doing items for children 16 should be enough.. just make sure if it's an older model that you can still get needles for it. I have one older modle of another brand that it's very hard to find needles for.

I have a Read 16 row pleater.  I bought the pleater in about 1980?  I still use it and it works great!  Believe me, when my girls were little, it REALLY got a work out! 

Recently I've dusted it off, bought new needles and ... off we go, without a hitch! 

The needles are still available.  Start with Martha Pullen, but if they are out of stock, they will refer you to another location.  I cannot recall where they sent me, but I followed their direction (they were out of the needles themselves) anyway, I followed their kind suggestion on where to get the needles and had no problem from there.
