I made this crib quilt by ripping 2.5 inch wide strips in varying lengths. I used large scale, brightly colored funky prints. I didnt' want to make it directed towards one gender since the baby's sex is not yet known. I then joined the strips end to end into larger strips. After that I staggered them so that the seams did not join up and sewed the long strips together until I had the width I desired. Then it was a simple matter of trimming it up, adding the borders, quilting and binding. It took me about two days working off and on, here and there.
Hope my friend likes it. I'm finishing up a set of 8 burp cloths to go with it right now.
