Sources for Bulk Scraps of Non-Quilt shop fabrics?

Hi all,
This is my first post on this terrific site.
I'm taking a weeklong workshop in July 2010 with art quilter Ruth McDowell. She strongly recommends adding non-quilt shop material to our workshop stash. I already know about tag sales, Salvation Army & Goodwill finds, etc but I don't need big pieces as McDowell's method involves very small piece template collage sewing.
Does anyone know of a vendor or website selling scraps of non-quilt fabs? (upholstery, decorating, clothing). I figure I can buy by the pound, take the colors I need and share the rest with the class.
Thanks,
Julie

I've received QUITE a bit of non-quilting fabric bits from our local Freecycle group. In particular, local non-quilting etsians have been quite generous with their scraps!! You might want to try there, first. (Yea for free!) (If you lived close, I'd give you mine. hehe Are you in New England? ;-))
