Has anybody made a shopping cart seat cover from a pattern or tutorial they would recommend?

Hi there. I think this question came up the other day as well. I've used McCalls M5409. Details are in this thread:

Good luck with your trolley cover!

I made one last month from the McCall's  M5721 pattern.

I really like how it turned out but I think the  attached carrier case doesn't work so well.  Maybe I am not folding the cover up correctly before shoving it in the bag and therefore I can't get the strap to act as a handle.  The other issue I had with the pattern was that the pocket directions weren't too clear.  I ended up winging it on the pocket and placed a pocket on both sides of the cover since it seems to be a reversible cover.

Jan Andrea on the Web: http://www.sleepingbaby.net/jan/Baby/cart_cover.html has loads of baby related tutorials, including this grocery cart tutorial.

Personally, I was thinking of just making a velco wrap to attach round the metal bars of the trolley with a few dangly bits to attach toys too - far more portable. Its only where baby sucks at the trolley where germs could be a problem, I think these full seat covers are a bit over the top.   Undecided
