1034D Serger Gathering Foot settings??

I, like others did not write down my settings when I used the gathering foot once.

I can't for the life of me find it on the DVD. I have watched every video & its not there. Its not in the manual.

Im about to give up & just baste for ruffle.

Can anyone help??

I just went through this last week! Finally decided to try out some of the features of my serger and couldn't find any info at first. Then I realized there is a separate booklet that has that info- it's a thinner, white booklet that is titled "Serger Techniques". According to that, it says to use 4 threads, set your differential to 2, your stitch length to 4 and presser foot pressure to light to moderate pressure. Hope that helps.

That said, it didn't produce a very gathered ruffle. I tried playing around with tensions ,etc but didn't write that stuff down

Hmm...Ill have to see if I can find that book.

Ya I remember when I used it last time that it wasn't as ruffled as Id like.
I also played around but I never remember to take notes... Bad habit & my mind isnt so giving these days
