Viking Emerald 183 alphabet not working?

    Viking Emerald 183 alphabet not working?

    I just tried to use the alphabet stitches on my Viking for the first time....what a mess!  They don't even resemble anything like a letter.  I should be able to go to the Aa1 menu and just push in the code for the letter I want, right?  I have the B foot in as directed.

      I don't own an embroidery machine, but maybe check your feed dogs... Are they supposed to be up or down?

      If they are supposed to be down and yours aren't, that could be why they are a mess.
