Charging per Drapery Treatment-Suggestions Please

Ladies:

I've been sewing drapes for 15 yrs with a mfg.co.here in Dallas-recently laid off. My income has suffered,so I've taken on sewing with a decorator. I'm unsure what I should be charging as she'd like to pay per piece. Current projects: 2 panels, windowshade and 4 balloon shades with trim. It's particularly competitive here, what would you charge? She has suggested 60 per panel,225 for all the shades to be
sewn.
Thanks,

Liz

I think you need to take into consideration how long it takes you and if you're purchasing the fabric.
I charge around $13 - 15/hr. If you can guess how long it'll take you, then that should give you an idea of how much to charge. Don't forget to add the fabric cost as well as the other sewing supplies you might use: needles, thread, etc.
