Pattern cutting question..

    Pattern cutting question..
    on: September 02, 2008, 10:30:14 PM
Ok, this is probably a silly question, but I need to know Smiley

When I make clothing, I'm used to cutting out the pattern for my size. Well, I have an apron pattern that I will be making for several ladies of different sizes.

How do you keep the pattern in tact and still be able to use it for the different sizes?

If you think you are going to be using the pattern a lot in the different sizes an option is to copy the pattern.  One way is to use a clear plastic shower curtain or table cloth (like they sell in the dollar stores) and trace the smaller sizes.  You can then cut them out and save them along with the regular pattern.

As mentioned, you'll want to trace your pattern and make copies in different sizes. I use large sheets of tracing paper. I find it easy to work with, write on and pack away.

        Good luck with your aprons!
