napkin fabric
on: September 03, 2008, 12:39:54 AM
Hi,
I wanted to start on some holiday gifts and I was thinking about making some napkins and kitchen towels. Does anyone have suggestions for great fabric to use? I think I like the feel of linen or cotton/linen but I want a bright color or design. What I don't like is that most fabric with great designs are only one sided so the otherside is kinda ugly (okay for kitchen towels but not okay for napkins). Any suggestions? Thanks!

Have you seen the Lotta Jansdottir book on printing? There are some great ideas. You could get a simple fabric and customize it for each individual recipient.
