They aren't really books, but I am really loving Ottobre magazine (the woman's clothing issues come out twice a year). They always have great styles that suit a wide range of body shapes and ages. All the patterns are included full-size, but you do have to trace them and add seam allowances. The instructions are also a little sparse, so probably not the best for a beginner, but if you have some clothing sewing experience you can probably handle it. I have also heard wonderful things about the kids clothing magazines, but have not tried these myself.
