Fixing/Altering Croc Flip Flops

    Fixing/Altering Croc Flip Flops
    on: May 24, 2010, 01:06:26 PM
Help! I bought a pair of Croc flip flops, with fabric straps and rubber bottoms. The sole fits like a GLOVE...but the straps are about 1/2" too big, meaning it's really hard to keep the shoes on. My feet get so tired after wearing them for about half an hour, it's more comfortable to just take them off! Definitely NOT ideal.

Did anyone else have this problem? Does anyone know how to fix it? The straps are anchored inside of the sandal bottom, so I might be able to tear the show apart and shorten the straps, and hope that E-6000 would hold it back together again, or I could somehow stitch the strap to itself to shorten it...

    Ideas??

I wouldn't take it out of the sole if I were you. I don't think it would be easy to get it back in securely.
I would sew the strap to itself like you suggested. You can pinch a little portion of the strap together, sew it, then add a little flower or some sort of accessory to cover the extra fabric.

Oh, smart! I was going to pinch it to the -inside-...which means it would be poking my feet. LOL Thank you!
