I made this skirt today, part of a sewalong (Ramonster's Skirt tutorial) posted in the SMS blog, week of June 7-11.

What I liked: Learning to shirr. My nieces have a lot of sundresses in their future.

What I disliked: Reminding myself that women who weigh more than 120 pounds have no business in a dirndl skirt. Ever. There is no such thing as "less poofy".

Also, curvy = difficult to fit an elastic waist. I made the waistband big enough to fit over my hips, and it was too loose at the waist. Which made it hang poorly.
Oh well. I'm still grateful for the learning experience. And I made this long/wide enough that I can salvage it into an A-line.
