I can't believe I found this blog! It is so much fun, I just heard of the contest yesterday but was super excited because I have been very busy this month preparing for the summer,(seeing as how the weather hasn't really proved to be summer just yet). I have attached 2 images
the first one is a skirt I made with ikea fabric (which I love). I used a Newlook dress pattern and used the skirt portion and added a large waistband. I love the way it turned out and can't wait to wear it to some summer picnics!

the second image is of a pair of shorts I made from a polyester like fabric. I decided to be ambitious and design them myself so this was the first time I have ever made a pattern, and I think it worked. I scalloped the bottoms because I thought it added a summery/ girly touch. I have also revisited tie dye and I love it totally inspired by watercolors I tie dyed this regular tshirt just last weekend and cut and hemmed the edges as well as the neck and cropped the bottom (I should have shown the bottom)

I hope you enjoy as I have been enjoying everybody elses posts and thoughts!

I couldn't figure out how to paste a picture here so I uploaded them to a webpage, take a look

          thanks!

Whew - I've been meaning to post for weeks now but... Finally! Summer vacation and time to upload photos!

Here's a dress I made for my daughter from a Burda pattern. She call it her "lemonade dress". My husband picked out the fabric!

I couldn't figure out how to insert the picture either, so have included a link to a photo of it:

            Thanks for the contest!

            Erin.

OK, I tried to submit this but my computer froze on me so I have to apologize if this goes through twice!  This is a dress I made for my daughter's 8th Grade promotion ceremony on June 10th.  Of course, I didn't finish it in time (saving money buying downloaded patterns sometimes isn't worth the time spent piecing the pattern together - so we had to come up with a Plan B at the last minute.  I printed out the pattern in May but didn't even get to start cutting the fabric until a week before the event!

                Indywriter,

I made the same dress for my 8 year old!  I posted it on my blog (smallt0wngirl.wordpress.com).

                  4vs1-

I love your fabrics!  Very sweet colors.  I skipped the understitching step and topstitched the hem as well.

                  I love a square-necked top.
