Advice on Double-sided fusible interfacing and serger thread

Yeah, I know, random combo, right? I'm making those wall pocket things from AM Horner's Seams to Me and it requires 2-sided fusible interfacing. I've done some research and it looks like there are only three options: Peltex II 72f, fast2fuse and steam a seam?? Not sure on that last one. I can't find reviews of any of these things anywhere. Anyone have an opinion. I'd like to save myself some cash and buy a bolt--but I'd like to have some opinions on the goodness of each before I lay out $80.

Serger thread--all I remember from when I bought my serger was my dealer saying something about not buying my serger thread if it's made in Mexico (ever heard that?) and not to buy _______ because it shreds and fuzzes something terrible. I'd love to fill in that blank. I don't shy away from buying good thread--I just need to know what "good thread" is for sergers. Maxilock? Toldilock? Something else?

As a new serger owner, I'm interested in hearing about favorite serger thread for standard 4 thread serging too.  I'm not into the wooly nylon and perle cotton yet.

I have used Maxilock & never had any problems.I buy it very cheap at Atlanta Thread Supply. Some people prefer Guterman & other high quality thread. I can't afford it for everyday sewing so I tried the Maxilock & have been very happy.
