I have found that the more steam that I use with fusible interfacing, the less post-construction wrinkling and puckering that I get. Therefore, I've been using the steam setting on my iron, as well as a moist tea towel as a press cloth. In addition, I press the interfacing rather that iron it...which I'm sure everyone has heard many times.

It seems to make a huge difference for my projects. Another idea I've used is interfacing the lining fabric as opposed to the feature fabric.
I believe sew-in interfacing may be the most dependable method for producing pucker-free projects.
