I am curious and want to ask all you Moms out there.

What kind of fabric lining do you like in your child's Fall jacket?

Flannel.  Sleeves don't slide over it easily but it is soft and warm.

Is there some kind of soft cozy fabric that would slide on easier? I know there is flannel back satin.

I like a slick, or semi-slick fabric, especially for younger ones.   Smiley

            Defintely flannel! So cozy.

              I'm voting for flannel, too.

I have never had it in my kids jackets, but Minkee seems like it would be warm, and slick enough that the sleeves wouldn't get bunched.

Microfleece might be nice too.  To me it depends on what you are using the outside for fabric too.  Smiley

My son had a nice fall jacket that was twill outer with a light flannel, or brushed cotton interior.
I love my gardening jacket, it's fleece on the body part and quilted (nylon?) inside the arms.

Fleece in the body, satiny lining in the sleeves.

                      Hope this helps,
                      Jen

I would prefer flannel - so soft and cozy!

I'm making my daughter's winter coat now and I'm using a brushed cotton lining with a removable minky lining that can snap in and out, depending on the weather (I live in Southern California, so I'm not sure how much use she'll get out of it!).

Anything on the body, but nylon or something silky in the sleeves so the arms slide in.

That sounds great! Where did you get this pattern?

I have only sewn Ponchos, which I do line. I use a polyester lining so everything will drape properly.
