appliquing felt letters

    appliquing felt letters

I want to applique some felt letters on home dec cotton, should I do it by hand or is machine stitching more durable?  It's going to be on a couch, probably sat on, and will take a beating. I have never really worked with felt.  Thanks! Smiley

Personally, I would machine stitch it. Felt is pretty easy to work with, but I would make sure that you use a quality felt if it needs to be durable.
