ideas for synthetic stretchy fabric?

I have a closet full of fabric that I received from someone cleaning out a house, mostly synthetic knit fabric in bright colors - think peach/turquoise leisure suits from the 60s-70s. This is not fabric that I would typically choose, and most things I like to make are best with cotton or at least not very stretchy fabric, but right now I feel committed to at least trying to make a few things with it rather than pass it along. Can anyone suggest ideas, pattern links, tutorials, etc for anything (other than peach leisure suits) that can help me get my creative juices flowing?  Thanks!  Amy

Synthetic knits can be hard to work with. I would start off with easy things such as bean bags, headbands & skirts. Then once you are comfortable working with it, I would maybe try a swimsuit.
