Serging Nylon

    I am fairly new at sewing projects and have a question.  I am making the gym sack in Sew Simple Vol. 10.  The project calls for covering the seam allowance with bias tape.  I am wondering if I serge the seam is this step necessary?

      No, it isn't necessary if you serge the seam.  I think it's just for aesthetic reasons.
