I would be able to finish more of my projects. At the moment, I only have a sewing machine, which means that properly finishing my seams takes time. With a serger, I could do it all at once. Yay!

Well, I like the part about my clothes practically sewing themselves. You see, if they sewed themselves, then that would eliminate all the mistakes I have to spend time fixing. AND, that would leave me with more time to BUY more of that fantastic new jersey knit just dying to be sewn by a serger. AND, I'd have more time on my hands to clean up my hou...wait, scratch that.
I don't mind if the clothes sew themselves or not. I'd just like to have that serger parked up in my sewing room, waiting for me to use it. Smiley

We are moving cross country and facing a complete change in climate. While our children are already lamenting the loss of snow (just a kid thing in our house) I am already making plans and buying fabric for new, lighter weight clothing. With 6 kids, finishing seams and hems would be a snap with this gorgeous serger. Is their a serger fairy to ask for a little magic to win this prize?

I'd give my zigzag stitch a break and then I would make a stack of underwear from old t-shirts, something I once swore I would never sew.

With the magic power of a Serger, I would become that person - the kind of lady who makes her own underwear.  Smiley

I'd like to be able to take my sewing "up a notch" and create more professional garments.  A quality serger, such as this one, would help eliminate the homemade look.  Serged garments last longer and just look better!

I have never used a serger, so first thing would be to learn!  But I'm a quick learner, so that seems like part of the fun.  I would love to experiment with making bathing suits and dance costumes for my little swimmers/dancers.

As both my kids venture to school for the first time, I am envisioning a life of new found creativity.  At present, I have piles of fabric, clipped ideas and patterns that line my sewing space.  It would be lovely to make finished garments, create strip quilts, and adorn our home with fabrics with the help of a serger.

Since I have become a stay-at-home mom I have been pondering opening an etsy shop. Once we do a little work on our basement this fall I will be able to have a dedicated space for crafting/sewing and can hopefully make my etsy shop a reality. I would like to include some sewing items in my shop. This serger would be a tremendous help in having professional looking seams. Cheesy

Oh Husqvarna Serger, how I long for you!  Smiley

I have had a serger for 15 years and can't imagine sewing without one. Mine was a basic model and is a real bear when it's time to change the thread. So much so that I defer projects until I can't group together 4 or 5 with the same thread color. Not a problem for the black or white thread projects but alas, my green and pink projects have to wait patiently.

I would LOVE to win this!!

                        Whoa! Great giveaway guys!

If I had a serger, this would be great. I'm currently trying to lose a lot of weight, and having a serger would help me make my "fat" clothes last longer, since it would be easier to alter them/take them in. I'm cheap like that.

Oh did I mention I'm tall? Well, fairly tall. Too tall for regular inseam and a little too short for tall inseam. I'm CONSTANTLY hemming my pants. Same goes for my husband, actually. Always hemming his pants too.

Also, we're moving to a bigger house soon and this means that there will be LOTS of home decor that I see myself sewing in the near future. This would help immensely.

Also, I want my family to be like oh heck yes, this girl can SEW like it's nobody's business. I want to be the coolest sew-er on the block (typing sewer reminds me of stinky sewage). I want to have needle cred (instead of street cred)!

I want my fabric to quiver in excitement when it sees a shiny new serger that is going to morph it from plain fabric into something *awesome*. I need this serger!!  Grin

Also, this serger NEEDS me! I have a very friendly home for the serger to live in, and I would use the heck out of it and treat it like GOLD! I think my dog might get jealous that I play with it more than her, but she'll survive. Smiley

                        So, now you know I'm a wacky sew-er. Don't hate me. I want...I want....I want!

I am blessed to be the mother of two very active little boys. They both prefer to wear knit clothing. A serger would really speed up my cranking out shorts and underwear for them. I also have 2 wonderful girls to sew for who love knit skorts to wear in the summer. I also think it would help me save money since I have a huge stack of oops knits. With 6 people in our family I would love to have a time saver. I do have a really sweet neighbor that allows me the use of her serger when I get desperate and I think she might be regretting offering me the use of it.:-)

I am very interested in making my own and my children's clothes, but do not have a lot of free time or a lot of space to do projects.  I think a serger would quicken the time spent on each project, making the whole idea of making our own clothes less daunting.  Thanks for the giveaway!

How would a Serger make my life better? I think you said it best when you said that with a serger, clothes practically sew themselves. I learned to sew using a old overlock singer alongside a trusty Serger but since I moved out of my parents' house (many years ago) I haven't had the budget for my own. Having a serger would make my projects so much simpler and more tidy. This is my dream machine and yes, I'm drooling a bit...

I don't actually think a serger would make my life better.. immediately. From watching my mom struggle to thread hers every single time she had to change the thread and hearing serger horror stories from fellow sewers, I think it will be a challenge.

But certainly a challenge that is worth overcoming (aren't they all?)

With a little one on the way (due in Nov) and me making most of the nursery items and a boatload of clothes (as many as I can find for little boys) a serger, that I know how to use and doesn't involve a trip to my mom's to hear her swear, would be most helpful!
