    advice on pre-printed panels
    on: September 21, 2008, 12:39:11 PM
    Hi everyone,
I am a relatively new quilter. I am finally finishing up an advent panel. It's the Laurel Burch one with the cats and 24 pockets for goodies. I was so proud of the quilting I did around the pockets, tree and cats. I'm now on to the binding and I need a little help. The gold lines around the edge of the printed panel is not straight or square at all. I've been trying my best to get it even, but it seems way off. I have to be careful not to cut too far into the panel and ruin the design. My plan was to attach the binding just inside the gold outline so I wouldn't have to worry about that line, but even if I attach the binding just inside it, it's still way off. What should I do? Have I ruined my wall hanging and what can I do in the future for other panels that may be a little wavy in their printing? Thank you for any advice.
