liquid stitch?

    liquid stitch?
    on: August 19, 2010, 09:38:13 AM
Hello! I need to attach a lining into a bag, it's supposed to be hand tacked in, but it would take me forever and I've never hand sewn. I'd like to try to liquid stitch it in the bottom 4 corners with a thin line around the top. It says it is permanent, washable, etc. This bag will never be washed. Wonder if anyone has experience with this glue (dritz liquid stitch) and if it would be ideal in this application?

    Thanks!

Picked up some fabri-tac instead, cross your fingers!

I haven't had experience with the liquid stitch so I can't give any advise on that product. I have used fabri-tac, but not on something that would test it's strength. It was just to hold some ribbon on or something. It worked well although the bottle dries up fast. Try to keep your cap secured tightly!

Thanks for your help Irene (again!), I used the fabri-tac, quite a good bit of it around the inside of the exterior and around the opening up top by teh zipper. seems to hold well, at least for now! The bag is very stiff, so the hardening of the dried glue helps.
