Use It Or Lose It Sew-Along?

Not only do I have a HUGE fabric stash but I have all kinds of notions, trims and other gear that I never use.  I have several presser feet that I "needed" still in their original packaging. 

I have way way too much stuff not to mention the belt tightening that's been going on around here.  I have no business buying anything new.   So I was thinking about challenging myself to finally put all of this stuff use.  Not only de-stashing the fabric but finally learning to use my ruffler foot. 

Anyone interested in a sew-along like this?  I could use the moral support!  Leave a comment here or on my blog and I'll try to put a little something together if folks think it would be a good idea.

I know EXACTLY what you mean!  I am a b-a-d hoarder of all fabrics that fall into the "cute" category!  Time to cut it up and USE it!!

I'm in.  What kinds of projects do you have in mind?  I am thinking hand-sewn Christmas presents, myself...

I don't know! I guess I hadn't thought too much about it.  More like I would just have to make do with what's on hand whenever inspiration strikes.  Maybe, for me, challenging myself to start and complete at least one project a month.  Something like that.  I'm open to suggestions!

Yes, having to make do with what's on hand is a good idea.  I am a hoarder of fat quarters, so my goal is to make some great gift sets for the holidays like a bag with matching zipper pouch, or an apron with matching potholders.  That type of thing.  I, too, am open to suggestions.

So I agree, at least one gift set each month.  Sounds like a good plan, and then we'll have at least 4 projects done in time for the holidays!!

I'm with you!!  What are the fine details of the sew-along?  When/how/where do we post pictures, etc...  ??  I am new to this site, so I need the deets.
