Essex Linen/Cotton Blend and Kona

    Essex Linen/Cotton Blend and Kona

I was looking online for linen, and I am (of course) impressed by how affordable the Essex Linen/Cotton blend is.  Has anyone worked with it?  Is the texture more like linen or more like cotton?

Also, what does "Kona Cotton" mean.  I hear people talk about it online all the time, and I thought it was a line from Robert Kaufman, but then I saw it at Joann's.  When people say "kona" in their blogs, do they mean RK?

I really love the Essex linen and use it in my projects. It is softer than linen, but has that look.  It is a great value!

I think you are right about the Kona cotton.  It is a tm of Kaufman.  I'm not surprised it is at Joanns.  It is a very popular quilting solid.
