Internet Rip Offs or Sites Going Under........

If you are about to buy something online, please be aware that a few sites are currently going down - either intentionally or due to financial problems.  I'd presume that if an honest person is aware that they will not be able to meet their obligations, they'd shut down their site to stop taking people's money!

A good idea is to dial or do an exact-phrase google of the toll free number at any site to be sure it is operating. I intend to do this for all purchases in the future.  Do not purchase anyting from any site on the internet ever which does not have a working toll free number. 

By keying in "sewingmachinesolutions.com" at

http://domains.whois.com/domain.php?action=whois

without the "http" or the "www" I came up with the name Aaron Kocourek.  If I become aware that I am naming an innocent person, I"ll update this thread.  This site is not answering e-mails regarding my purchase.  At this point, I'm wondering if I need to get a new credit card!  :0(

I'm glad I was diplomatic above. 

I placed an order on Sept. 9th, and assumed that my credit card had been charged.  It has not. 

This is seeming like an overwhelmed business, as opposed to a corrupt one.  Since I bought the item elsewhere I have asked that the order be cancelled. 

Here's chapter 3 and I'll stop beating a dead horse after this.

As of 9/24 the e-mail for the site info@sewingmachinesolutions.com is not working.  I received a  MAILER-DAEMON notice to that effect.  An e-mail which I sent on 9/19 apparently DID go through.

I don't know exactly what's going on with the site, but my point is made. Short of finding out that this has all been a terrible mistake, this is where I'll leave it.
