adapting childrens pattern to mom size
on: September 23, 2008, 10:40:28 PM
Hi there,
I have been making skirts for my daughter using the Pink Fig Girly Skirt pattern (it's here in the shop). I would like to make us matching skirts, and the pattern is basically just straight rectangles of fabric for the main part, hem, and waistband - it seems like it's probably possible. But...I'm a complete newbie and don't have the slightest clue how to change the measurements or know how much yardage I would need.
Can anyone help?

OOO - I can't wait to hear the answer to this one - I got some fab 1950's - 1970's vintage patterns for girls mixed ages from 8 - 12+ and I'd love to make this bigger for me!
