Snap Press advice?

I have a VERY active little boy, with kind of wonky proportions, and I would LOVE to be able to make him some rompers. I love the snap closures on the bottom of the Carter's rompers...but don't know how to do the snaps.

Does a Snap a Dile work well on fabric (jersey, cotton, etc.)? How about the Dritz snap press? The other option I've seen is the KAMsnap press, but at $88 (vs $25) it's kind of a lot to swallow. Help?

I have some snap pliers made by Dritz, I think. Most fabric store will have them with the notions/snaps. It can do snaps and small grommets. Placing the snap pieces into the pliers can be a little fiddly but it's not difficult and the snaps look great! I got mine at Joann's when they were having a 50% off notions sale so it ended up being around 6 dollars, I think. I love it!

If at any way you can afford the KAM snap press, I would go for that instead of the pliers. I've tried many a plier and they are all a headache. The KAM has it's cons as well, but if you plan on putting in alot of snaps it's the only way to go.
