Which diaper bag pattern do you prefer? Any experience with Amy Butler?

Does anyone have practical experience using any of the Amy Bulter diaper bags (nappy bag, everything bag, or modern diaper bag)?  If so, do you recommend any of these bags?  Are there any other diaper bag patterns out there that you recommend?  I'm searching for the absolute best diaper bag that will carry a lot of stuff and stay on my shoulder well when carried.  Thanks for your input!  (any comments on the construction of such a bag are welcome too)

I made the Everything Bag. Amy Butler's instructions are super clear.
Since I prefer a little wiggle room, I lengthened the straps by a couple of inches.
The only problem I ran into was sewing around the stiff center divider, but this was more about the machine operator than the actual sewing pattern.

I made this bag for my sister who is having her first baby this month. I like it so much though I am having a hard time giving it to her.

I recommend the Everything Bag.

Good luck with the bag you decide on, although you can always make them all.

I made the Hip Mama Diaper bag from A Mingled Yarn's blog:  [url]http://amingledyarn.wordpress.com/gallery/tutorial-hip-mama-diaper-bag/url]

Although she used an oilcloth, I couldn't find/nor wait to order some so instead I used some navy baby cord and half a vintage print curtain I found in a charity shop (Thrift).

It has two pockets on the front, one on each side, a zippered one on the back, then inside another two - where you can see my nappies and wipes as well as a large general area. I've been using this for about 3 weeks now, and am loving it - although my purse and keys always manage to get lost!!! Can't wait to make the second edition!  Grin

Well, this isn't specifically a diaper bag, but I love the Pink Chalk Studio Mail Sack.  I like that it slings over your shoulder so you can be hands free, and it is a HUGE bag.  It easily fits all my stuff.  www.pinkchalkstudio.com

A friend made the hobo bag from the tutorial by J. Caroline Creative for me to use as a diaper bag, and I love it!  Perfect size.

that is a gorgeous diaper bag.  i love the print you chose and that you used a curtain as the fabric.

do y'all find that buying curtains, sheets, clothes from thrift stores or maybe the dollar stores are good ways to find cool, inexpensive fabric?

I posted a seperated thread in General Chat regarding charity/thrift shops. I find them an amazing resource for everything from using curtains and bedlinen for cheap fabric - threough to buying old zips they've saved off clothes they can't sell for a few pence!  Grin

Definately worth a good rummage next time your passing by one

Hi all!!
I made the birdie sling bag from Amy butlerhttp://www.amybutlerdesign.com/products/patterns_display.php?id=37, is not exactly a diaper bag but is enough big to carry all the things you will need. I changed the handle, I made a largest handle in order to cross it around my chest I add a clasp to adjust it. I like to have my hands free. I will post a photo of the bag in my blog http://www.flickr.com/photos/lenarod/in a few days, then you could have a look to it. (sorry for my english!!!)
Happy new year to everyone! Cheesy
