Christmas Stockings

Does anyone have a pattern or suggestion of where to find a pattern to make Christmas Stockings? I want to sew up a few for this year. (I'm very impressed with myself that I'm starting the process NOW instead of December 20th!)

Sewing or knitting? I 've sewn some felt ones this year. There's a pic here-

Adapted an idea from  melissa goodspell's 25 days of christmas post (but can't find link anymore - think it was through sms though) but mine are smaller, part machine sewed and the pictures have been printed onto the fabric. She has a template with her tutorial so it's worth trying to find.

Thank you both! I was thinking of knitting one but know that I would NEVER get it finished in time for this year so am leaning more towards sewing it. I'm off to check the links out.
