Would you take a Pfaff Hobbylock 786 for free that's about 10-15years old?

Hi there,

I have an opportunity to receive a Pfaff Hobbylock 786 Serger for free that is roughly 10-15 years old.  It hasn't been used in a very, very long time and needs servicing but is otherwise in good condition with the manual.

My question is as a sewer who has never used a serger should I bother with this older model?  Would you take it? Is it hard to find servicing and parts for this age of a model?

Thanks so much for any help you can give Smiley

Yes. My aunt just received one that was 20 years old, had it serviced, and it works like a dream.

Thanks! I found a dealer who will service it in town, so I think I'll scoop it up!

Anyone have one of these and recommend it?
