    Holiday projects?
    on: December 01, 2010, 07:24:17 PM
Now that we've got our tutes courtesy of SMS' Handmade Holidays, what's everyone making?  In the next 24 days, I hope to make:

    Mom: fleece vest
Dad: embroidered "book log" (a skinny rice bag for holding a book open)
    Sister: fleece socks
    BIL: embroidered book log
    Niece: Yoga pants
    Brother: bowties!
    SIL: scarf
    Nephew 1: pirate cape
    Nephew 2: stuffed zebra

    I'd better get busy!!

    What's on your list?

I was hoping to make Christmas stockings for my husband, daughter, and myself. The first stocking took me an entire week of sewing (at the expense of the knitting I'd prefer to be doing). While the first stocking turned out okay, it's not good enough that I feel a burning desire to get back on the horse to make two more. Cheesy

So: the stockings are the extent of my holiday ambitions this year Smiley

Hmm...a dress and cardigan for myself and a sleeper for my son with some leftover double knit that I have + some baseball-themed interlock for the sleeves.  The trick is finding time to work on that so that he doesn't know about it which is a bit tricky since he sleeps where I sew...
