Nothing fancy... no zippers, no buttons or snaps, no adjustable straps... just to very straight forward bags for swaps over at Ravelry. First, a small knitting project tote:
With a small pocket for stitch markers, yarn needles, cable needles, or other notions.
The bag is reversible (the pocket can be on the inside or outside, which ever is more convenient) and has a nice short handle so it hangs nicely off the wrist so you can knit while wandering about... Perfect for a pair of in-progress socks! Both the pink skull fabric and the maroon fabric are 100% cotton.
The messenger has two compartments on the inside and pockets on each outer wall...
I designed (per request) it to hold a knitting project and purse/lunch stuff.
The strap is nice and long and can be knotted to shorten it. And the front flap falls completely over the front, even when it's full (shown with three rather large skeins of yarn inside).
The black fabric is a sturdier canvas type and the lining is a Mary Englebright cherry print on 100% cotton.

...rather than spend a small fortune on mittens... I made some... out of an old outgrown sweatshirt... with sleeves so they would actually stay on my toddler! The entire story, and tute, can be found on
