What should I make for my FIRST project?
on: December 22, 2010, 02:03:11 PM
I am starting to get into sewing. I haven't really done anything on my own without my mom. What would be the best project for me to start off doing? I'm open to ALL ideas!!
Thanks a million!!

Welcome to the world of sewing. Some of the first things I made on my own were, simple rod pocket curtains for my kitchen, pillows, kids shorts, and a shopping bag. Before I knew it I had made my own wedding gown!
If I was starting I'd try a shopping bag maybe one that isn't lined. Pillow cases are easy too and so are receiving blankets. I could go on. Check out the tutorials on this site. Youtube can help if you get stuck or are a visual learner. Good luck!
