    does the color of thread matter for quilting seams?

    does it matter much what color of thread i use to sew all my squares when making a quilt? i dont have a good match in the house and going out will take hours to accomplish

      I don't think it does.  I just use any neutral (white, beige, grey, olive green, etc.) I think the value and brightness are more significant.  If you are using light fabric, a light colored thread works best.

        I always think quilts are a good way to destash thread simply because it doesn't really matter.
