Apparel Fabric

    I know where to find amazing quilt fabric.  What sites/stores do you recommend for apparel fabric (wools, voiles, other non cotton fabric)?

      That's such a good question - I would love to find 40's type rayon for dressmaking....

        I live near Chicago so I think I'll try a trip to Vogue fabrics in Evanston and give that a try!

          That sounds like a fabric shop I would like, although nowhere near me - you should report on your trip!

            I don't have any personal recommendations, but if you're willing to do some hunting, there are tons of sites listed on this page that sell all kinds of quality apparel fabrics:

              It depends on where you are from.  Around Chicago yes it is Vogue fabrics.  I can't speak to any other part of the world.
