Tree skirt ideas needed

    Tree skirt ideas needed
    on: November 13, 2008, 12:13:14 PM
I would like to make a christmas tree skirt and I would like to use my new embroidery machine but I have no idea what I want it too look like. Does anyone have any good links of pictures of embroidered tree skirts or ideas of what I should make.

There are a lot of ideas depending upon your style.

      -Plain colored fabric with snowflakes
      -trees
      -small presents
      -forest
you could applique a scene (village, or forest or elves)

You could do a circular patchwork with embroidery on every other square...I think that would look realy cute.

I know it's after the holidays, but to get a jump start on next year, there's an easy-to-follow free pattern from Amy Butler.  Not embroidered (as the initial post requested), but quite beautiful and interesting.

            Happy sewing!
