Wisconsin-ites??

Any fellow Wisconsin-ites out there looking to get together or already have a group formed?  I'm starting out and would love to meet some others interested in sewing.

A little about myself- I'm in my early 30's, I have 4 kids, I'm a den leader & not only do I like to sew, but I also enjoy knitting, and other crafting.

I'm south of Eau Claire too!  (about an hour and a half south)
30yrs old, 2 kids. I don't know anyone my age around me who sews.  It would be cool to start a circle.

I'm near Milwaukee...anyone else?

I’m in the Fox Cities (Appleton/Oshkosh area).  I moved here from Detroit last year and I am having a really hard time meeting people my age, let alone people my age that sew!  I’m in my early thirties with one child.  There is a lot of quilting/sewing up here but it’s not really my style, so I'd be interested in a group!

Too bad you aren't closer because I'm in the same boat!  Just turned 30 with one child.  Our local quilt shop is older woman that only quilt and don't really use modern fabric much.  Not to say that's bad, but they are just different than I am.  They are all very nice, but it would be great to have someone my age with similar interests. 

Thanks for the reply, sewingnovice. Where exactly are you by Milwaukee? If you set something up, especially if it's on a weekend, I'll gladly come down!

I go to Milwaukee quite a bit for work and just went to a great fabric store, Patched Works, in Elm Grove.  She has TONS of modern fabric and is quite reasonable...you might want to check it out if your local place isn't quite doing it for you!
