Do you have a favorite women's skirt pattern (or tutorial)?

(Forgive me if this has been discussed before--I used the search feature but didn't find anything.)

I made the yard sale wrap skirt from Weekend Sewing by Heather Ross this weekend and am in love with the twirly-ness of it.  It was easy, it's cute, and I'd make it as my go to except that it EATS fabric (4 yards!)

Do you have a favorite go to skirt pattern?

Here are a couple that I've seen that look promising:
- 5 minute skirt (http://angrychicken.typepad.com/angry_chicken/2008/07/5-minute-skirt.html)
- 1 yard skirt (http://darlingpetunia.blogspot.com/2009/05/one-yard-skirt.html)

Right now I'd particularly love to find a skirt that uses 1 yard of the main fabric and 1/2 yard for the waistband or hem.  Or one with panels like the yard sale wrap skirt but with a fixed waistband instead of the wrap.

Thanks for any help!

I love, love Amy Butler's Barcelona Skirts pattern, and have made three of them.  The basic version only requires about a yard and a half though she says more than that.  She always overestimates though.

There's a cute reversible wrap skirt pattern/tutorial that doesn't use much fabric at http://www.sewastraightline.com/2010/03/domesticated-skirt.html
I haven't tried it as I haven't had time but it seems pretty simple.  I like the Barcelona skirt too - I have made 4 and she sure does overestimate the fabric allowances - I learned to cut out patterns from my mom and grandma and they put the pieces as close together as humanly possible

My favorite resource for skirts that I use over and over again is a book: Sew What! Skirts.
There are tons of skirts and after some initial figuring, you have a pattern that is tailored to you.
