Turning out lined top--Help needed

    Turning out lined top--Help needed
    on: March 08, 2011, 03:24:51 PM
I made an asymmetrical top that is lined and now I can't figure out how to turn it out.  I sewed along the neckline and the armhole and did leave an opening in each.  I have tried turning it out, but I can't figure out how to do it.

    Can anyone help?

I'm trying to picture your top... so, can't you grab your outer fabric and pull only that through your neck opening? Will that work? I'm trying to imagine all your seams, but this should work.

        It's a top like this: http://sewing.patternreview.com/Patterns/36537

I made it lined though.  I think maybe I shouldn't have sewn the shoulder seam before turning it out.

Thanks for the link- that helps a ton! Okay, so from what you wrote, you only left openings in the neck and shoulder. What about your bottom hem? Is that sewn closed?
