Printing e-patterns

    Printing e-patterns
    on: April 06, 2011, 07:16:49 AM
    Hello,
I have just read the excellent post on printing e-patterns and think I may now know where I've been going wrong but am so stupid that I don't know how to fix it!
I think the problem is that I am printing US letter onto a4.
How do I fix this? is there something simple? am I just being dumb? please don't laugh! Also my printer isn't borderless so I have to have a border round the edge - will this cause problems too?
    Thanks for your help,
    Alison

When you are on the print screen, you should have the option to turn scaling off, or choose no scaling.

According to Wikipedia A4 is a tiny bit longer and a tiny bit narrower than Letter size paper, but only like 6mm narrower, so you should be OK. You may have some clipping of the design if it is too close to the edge.

Most people's printers can't print all the way to the edge.  Most have at least a small border called a print margin, unless they are fancy photo ink jet printers.  So you should be OK there Smiley

I found this video which outlines everything you need to know about printing epatterns.

Just go to Question one and click on the link and select open and the video will download and you can play it.

        Hope it helps
