Embroidery Machine Help

    I'm looking at buying my first embroidery machine. I'm looking at a couple of inexpensive Brother and a slightly more expensive Singer machines. I already have a Bernina sewing machine that I love so really looking just at embroidery features. The brother can only use a 4x4 hoop. Is that standard? Enough for most embroidery projects? I think I'll mainly use it to do names and monograms for my kids but who knows once I get rolling? I'm just really concerned about the 4x4 area...seems limiting to me, but I'm a total novice so I really have no idea. Are there other important features I should look for? All help and advice much appreciated! Thank you!

      Brother makes a 700II and 770 that embroideries a 5 x 7.  I have the Brother 700II and love it.  Of course, I am very new to the machine embroidery world.  These are not way out expensive.
