Idea for Table Runner

Greetings!

My friend asked me to sew some table runners for her sons bar mitzvah next month. She gave me the fabric. It's of corvettes. All of the cars are in lines with the word corvette inbetween each car. I need to make 6 60 inch table runners. I could just do a big rectangle but would love to be more crafty with this. Any ideas? 

I'm kind of thinking of putting a diamond shape of a different fabric in the middle of the table runner so at least the word Corvette won't face the same way down the fabric  - I could rotate the fabric so one the word corvette would scroll down to the end of the table.

Do you have a cricut machine? It will cut fabric, you could cut out a car, wheels, his name etc out of fabric and appliqué. I like doing my runners with strips in different widths. Gives it more texture and color variations. I always put a bright binding on them too, gives it a good pop! You could make a road/ race track on top too if he's into racing or cars. Have fun! I love runners!
