Quick to sew ideas?

    Quick to sew ideas?
    on: November 23, 2011, 03:35:05 PM
I wasn't sure where to post this.

I have a small sewing business sewing items for children.

I am feeling right now that I want to do a special project in the new year to raise money for charity.

I am hoping for a relatively quick to sew item that I can then offer with part of the proceeds going to charity.

It does not have to be child related.

Something fairly quick and easy.  Just looking for ideas. Smiley

    Thanks!

I would suggest tote bags/shopping bags... these can be made super quickly, are easily embellished if you want to do something a bit fancier, can be made from recycled fabric (thrifted curtains are great for this!) and always attract pleased comments.

fancy baby blankets.. they are super easy to sew, lots of tutorials online.. if you use a cute novelty print on one side and minky on the other side, they sell like hotcakes.

another idea, simple skirts for little girls, in really cute "mama, i want that cupcake skirt!"prints. they do not even take that much fabric or effort! try searching g"girl skirt" on etsy for inspiration..

You could make some cute bibs with vinyl tablecloths from the dollar store that are cheap and easy to wipe clean and use terry cloth or a cute fabric for the back?
