Can You Embroider Big Quotes on Quilted Fabric

    My hubby broke a big mirror in our house.  I started making a small quilt to put in the mirror frame, so we could still use it.  I made what I thought was awesome, but he says it needs more.  It does not have binding on it yet, but it has been free hand quilted with circles and such.  Can I embroider over that?  Thanks in advance.  Yes, I am a newbie on all levels, but want to learn more.

      You could embroider or do some applique.  Post some pictures Smiley!

        Yes you could embroider over the top of your quilting especially if it is going to be framed, not the ideal way to go about it but it would be OK. The most difficult part is transferring your pattern, or are you going to free hand the lettering? This would be one option (use a water soluble marker pan) or the other option is to use dress makers carbon.
